Noboribetsu Hot Springs
This is a video of an event called "Hell Valley Demon Fireworks" when I went on a trip to Noboribetsu Onsen in Hokkaido. Tezutsu fireworks were spectacular. More information is available on the website of the Noboribetsu International Tourism and Convention Association.

Night view of Hakodate and landscape of Hakodate city
When you go to Hakodate, we definitely recommend seeing the night view. As far as I know, "Japan's three major night views" are said to be "Hakodate", "Kobe (Mt. Rokko)" and "Nagasaki". I think the night view of Hakodate is the best among them. In Hakodate, autumn passes quickly. Autumn leaves can be seen in the city in late October. And in November, winter is getting closer and closer. “Kantaro” is a famous conveyor belt sushi restaurant in the local area. Even though it's called conveyor belt sushi, the sushi toppings are real. It takes about 10 minutes by bus from Hakodate Station. It is very close if you get off at the bus stop "Ugauracho".
Lake Onuma
To get to Lake Onuma, take the JR Hakodate Main Line from Hakodate Station for about 40 minutes (about 30 minutes if you use the limited express) and get off at Onuma Park Station.
You can go boating on the lake. Hokkaido Komagatake can be seen. In winter, you can enjoy smelt fishing on the frozen lake.
Trappist Monastery
To get to the Trappist Monastery, take the Donan Isaribi Railway from Hakodate Station to Oshima Tobetsu Station. After getting off, it is about 30 minutes on foot. The distance to walk from the station is more than 2 km, so it will be difficult unless the weather is good.
Trappist butter is famous. Butter candies and cookies made from this butter are delicious.
Homemade salmon roe marinated in soy sauce
In September, you can find a lot of reasonably priced "sujiko" in supermarkets. "Sujiko" are salmon eggs that are still in the ovary or salt-cured. As the name suggests, the eggs are connected by a stringy ovarian membrane. The ovarian membrane is removed and the pieces separated are called "salmon roe".
"Sujiko" can be separated at home using a wire mesh." It takes a little more work, but if you pickle this in soy sauce, you can complete “salmon roe marinated in soy sauce” with your favorite seasoning!
"Homemade salmon roe marinated in soy sauce" can be frozen just like store-bought ones.
